ROAD TRIP!!!!
As mentioned before, this week's reviews will all focus on films that take place on the open road. Some are thrillers, some comedies, some dramas - but all of them are moving. Get it? "Moving?" Ha ha.
Okay. I'll shut up now. Anyhow. Next summer, if luck allows, I'd like to celebrate completing this crazy undertaking by flying back to Italy, meeting up with some ex-pat and native pals, and driving/bike riding from Rome to Naples to Salerno, with a detour to Sardinia, then back to the mainland and down to Calabria - before crossing to Sicily and eating as many blood oranges as I can get my mits on.
If it comes together, that will be a whole new project in itself: The Great Southern Italian Road/Bike Trip! It'll be like that around-the-world-on-a-motorbike thing that Ewan McGregor did. Except, um, it's just in Southern Italy. And I'm nowhere near as cute as Ewan McGregor.
Don't worry: I've become an expert at blogging on the road.
