MOVIE MUSIC TRACKS OF THE WEEK: "The Living Daylights"

Happy Labor Day, folks...

In the whirl and swirl of things, just wanted to wish everyone a great Monday evening, as well as post our weekly musical tributes. Please note that the last of our August reviews will post tomorrow: BOY A, which is now officially my #1 favorite movie ever even though I saw it way back in 2007 (details forthcoming in the review); THE LOSS OF A TEARDROP DIAMOND, which showcases Bryce Dallas Howard and Chris Evans at their most surprising and atypical; and THE LIVING DAYLIGHTS, which is the center of this week's musical tribute.

THE LIVING DAYLIGHTS was the 15th Bond film in the series. Released in 1987, the movie's theme song was sung and performed by A-ha, the Scandinavian band who were at the top of the charts at the time. This week, as part of our approaching Bond celebration for SKYFALL's November release, we salute some Bond music: THE LIVING DAYLIGHT's music - as well as other hits from A-ha unrelated to the movie.

First, A-ha's "The Living Daylights" from the original soundtrack of THE LIVING DAYLIGHTS:

Next, The Pretenders' "If There Was A Man..." from the original soundtrack for THE LIVING DAYLIGHTS. It is Bond and Kara's theme:

Then, we have two more of A-ha's great songs: "The Sun Always Shines On T.V." and "Living A Boy's Adventure Tale."

Have a great week, folks. Please expect the reviews for BOY A, THE LOSS OF A TEARDROP DIAMOND, and THE LIVING DAYLIGHTS to post by Wednesday. Then our Fall Movie Season 2012 schedule goes up....
