Just got back from the very first advanced screening here in the Northwest for the upcoming Diane Lane film SECRETARIAT - based on the true story of Peggy Chenery, the determined Denver housewife-turned-savvy-businesswoman who nurtured a feisty racehorse to unprecedented and unparalleled victory in the early 70's.
SECRETARIAT doesn't come out nationwide until October and Disney is hosting a series of advanced screenings across the country to stoke anticipation. And trust me, it's gonna work. This is a great film. One of the best films I've seen this year or any year. Full review coming tomorrow, then we resume our regular schedule of Chick Flick reviews...
Thanks, R & R, for the hookup...
